I want to try out some really diffused lighting in the studio as im sick of the sight of high key in my college projects. I don’t know why but with studio work pure white backgrounds frustrate the hell out of me unless there in black and white. I dunno why my mind hates to see it,I think I just like to see that there is something there?
So anyhoo i got my gorgeous friend and fellow photographer Yvette to pose for me. http://www.yvettebessels.com/ She is tall, slim and got curves in all the right places and really knows how to pose in front of a camera, i suppose she does spend most of her days telling people how to pose so it should come naturally. We had such a giggle and these photos have to be some of my favourite studio shots i have done so far, very classy and slightly sexy.
For the first few shots i used one softbox which i then diffused again before ditching the softbox and going for a small honeycomb for more of a directional light as the light from the softbox fell onto the background a bit too much. The honeycomb was also diffused as well and i think it worked out quite nicely.
